Energy Solutions
|
AltaLinQ Inc. has major emphasis and focus on our energy solutions, since we believe this area represents one of the most important leading edge sectors for our customer's over the next decades. With the world wide production of petroleum due to peak in 2006, energy solutions and energy prices will assume an ever increasing role in our customers business, and innovation will be the order of the day to stay competitive.
In this century , we will see the major energy sources shifting from petroleum to hydrogen and solar, with ‘Natural Gas’ and ‘Liquefied Natural Gas’ (LNG) serving as a major interim step in this transformation. The energy sector over the next 20-30 years will resemble the tech sector from the previous 30 years, for innovations and growth.
AltaLinQ offers energy solutions that will maximize the benefits of this energy transformation for all businesses and individuals. Our present portfolio includes fuel cells and Lithium batteries, with solar added in the near future. Watch our ‘News Bulletins’ for important new and ongoing developments in these areas. Our fuel cells are from our partner ‘Plug Power’, and these products range from: AC power generation; DC back-up power; hydrogen generation; Residential power, heat and hydrogen production; and fuel cells for ‘Honda’ vehicles.
Lithium Batteries
AltaLinQ Inc. is actively pursuing development of lithium batteries, and work is progressing on developing a line of outdoor/indoor batteries for the 48VDC market. Lithium batteries represent a new leading edge thrust in “energy solutions” for telecommunications, that will have significant benefits for our customers.
Our Lithium batteries are the first products are intended for the traditional 48VDC power market. With the inherent advantages of longer life, and higher power with less weight and smaller footprint, Lithium batteries are the choice for the future.
AltaLinQ batteries will set new economic entry points for Lithium batteries, with the economics on par with the traditional lead acid batteries.

Smart Grid
The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) is a nonprofit corporation designed to “ensure that the bulk electric system in North America is reliable, adequate and secure.” As the federally designated Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) in North America, NERC maintains comprehensive reliability standards that define requirements for planning and operating the collective bulk power system. Among these are the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Cyber Security Standards, which are intended to ensure the protection of the Critical Cyber Assets that control or effect the reliability of North America’s bulk electric systems.
Perle has extensive experience in helping customers conform to industry security standards such as HIPAA and DSS PCI, improving their security and compliance posture. Table 1.0 includes many elements that align directly with the NERC CIP Standards, allowing you to easily meet and exceed the requirements that have been set forth.
