As the existing networks are upgraded to higher speed and multi-media services, the need to organize, monitor and control the fiber and copper cable plants becomes necessary in order to achieve and maintain these high performance networks. To monitor and control the fiber plant, Altalinq Inc. has partnered with Norscan to bring this family of “cable management” products to our customers.

As the transformation from the existing to future networking is implemented, the access plant begins to play an ever increasing central role.
The integrated services networks of data, voice and video, require the security and the capabilities of the access plant be significantly improved to meet this challenge. In order to assist our customers in this critical transition, Altalinq Inc. has partnered with Norscan to bring new access systems and products to the marketplace.
These capabilities cover: the ability to locate and map the fiber optic cable; monitoring of the fibers, splicing and the sheaths; protection of the sheath against high voltage surges and weathering; and a cable plant software manager to control and monitor the access plant. With these world class products, our customers can effectively and efficiently “future proof “ their cable systems.
